About Me

I started baking desserts around five years old with my grandmother Deborah. I enjoyed learning from my grandmother and soon became Debbie’s “little helper” or “little Debbie,” and encouraged her to try making new desserts like 9 layered cakes, also known as “Smith Island Cakes.” 

Once of proper age, I began baking as a hobby and realized that I had a passion for culinary arts. When my friends and family discovered I too could bake, I would then get requests to make desserts for events, birthdays and other occasions. One summer, I received a request to make a layered strawberry cake. After taking pictures of my desserts and posting them to social media, I received a lot of support and decided to start taking orders for Sweet Treats by Jocelyn. During the same time, I was asked to do makeup for others for events such as prom and homecoming. As a result, I then created Face Beats by Jocelyn. 

 

While studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, I created a business plan for an idea I had to combine the two businesses into one: Baked by Jocelyn, Pastries and Makeup. Baked is not only a term used for food but it is also used in makeup to refer to the setting process. 

 

I’ve been able to provide makeup services for an array of clients such as models for a fashion show, students going to homecoming and prom, wedding parties, etc. I also offer a variety of desserts such as cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. that can be ordered here on our website. 

 

I appreciate each and every customer and client. Each dessert is made with love and all applied makeup enhances already existing beauty. We thank you for your support and look forward to your bookings/orders.
